Why Attend

A seminar provides something that regular classes cannot. Time.

Two full days allows students to immerse themselves in the work, explore ideas in greater depth and build a stronger connection to the principles that underpin Systema.

Students often leave with greater clarity, new training ideas, improved understanding of breath, better movement and renewed motivation. Many describe seminars as important milestones in their development.

About the instructor

Ryo Onishi.

Ryo Onishi

Ryo Onishi is Chief Instructor of Systema Osaka and a Director of Systema Japan. He has trained directly under Vladimir Vasiliev and Mikhail Ryabko for over 20 years and teaches seminars regularly across Europe, North America and Asia.

Ryo has taught at Systema HQ Toronto, where Vladimir Vasiliev featured his work in the official production From Relaxation to Power. The trailer is embedded above.

His seminars are valued for their exploration of breathing, structure, relaxation, natural movement and practical application under pressure. Students at all levels consistently leave with something they can apply immediately.

What We Will Train

The material.

The seminar explores how to remain relaxed, mobile and effective when facing physical, mental and emotional pressure. Through partner exercises, movement drills and practical applications, students will work on:

  • Reducing unnecessary tension
  • Striking at full power under pressure
  • Moving naturally and efficiently
  • Improving breathing under stress
  • Developing greater awareness and sensitivity
  • Staying calm and adaptable in challenging situations
  • Applying Systema principles in self-defence and everyday life

The material develops progressively across the two days. Day two builds naturally upon day one. The exact content will be shaped by Ryo on the weekend itself.
